Brook Warren Berringer, 22, of Goodland, Kansas, died April 18, 1996 at Raymond, Nebraska. He was born on July 9, 1973 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, the son of Warren and Jan Ochsner Berringer.

Brook was loved so much by his family and friends for many things but mostly for the interest he showed in each of our lives. His successes included graduation from Goodland High School in 1991; graduation from the University of Nebraska in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration; five-time Big-Eight champion football team member (1991-1996); two-time NCAA national champion football team member (1995-1996); First-Team Academic All-Big Eight selection (1995); University of Nebraska Ambassador and memberships with Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Ducks Unlimited, Quails Unlimited, and Pheasants Forever. He will always be greatly admired for his Faith, love of the outdoors, his passion for hunting, fishing, and flying, and his love for his family, friends and his two Brittanys - Juke and Bodie.

He was preceded in death by his father Warren Berringer on April 15, 1981 and Grandfather, Edmund Ochsner. He will be greatly missed and is survived by his mother Jan Berringer, Goodland, Kansas; his two sisters, Nicoel Nasseri, Overland Park, Kansas and Drue Berringer, Goodland, Kansas; brother-in-law Kevin Nasseri, Overland Park, Kansas; and girlfriend Tiffini Lake, Goodland, Kansas. He also will be missed greatly by his Grandparents Warren W. and Lois Berringer and Ann Ochsner, and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and the people of Kansas and Nebraska who were touched an influenced by his life.

Funeral Services were held at 11:00 AM Monday, April 22, at Max Jones Field House, Goodland, Kansas, Pastor Dan Bowman and Pastor Loren Strait, officiating. Visitation was 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday at Koons Funeral Home, Goodland, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Brook W. Berringer memorial fund at the funeral home, or First National Bank, Goodland, Kansas. Burial was in the Goodland Cemetery.
